Foundation in honor of Gwendolyn Elizabeth (Neuzil) Fleck
The family of Gwendolyn Elizabeth (Neuzil) Fleck created this foundation to honor her and keep her legacy alive. After a long, hard fought battle Gwendolyn succumbed to cancer at 41 years of age. She was a loving wife to Michael and loving mother to Michael and Isabella.
When Gwen was diagnosed with recurrence of breast cancer, her and her family didn’t know that she would have less than 2 months to live. They asked the doctor if she would be able to travel and the doctor said “yes.” Gwen and her family loved to travel.
She initially tried to fight using chemo, but it wasn’t working, and it was actually doing more damage to her liver than doing any good. After the initial fight she was too weak to travel.
In Gwen’s honor, we are going to do for others what she was not able to do after her diagnosis.
Our Mission is to support families confronting or having confronted a cancer diagnosis, enabling them to travel and create lasting memories together.
DO NOT stop dreaming big. Spend lots of time with family.
BE happy no matter what. Be silly. Laugh often. Take in lots of adventure. Travel and see the world. Don’t put any conditions on what it takes to happy with your loved ones, just enjoy the time no matter what you are doing.
